Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Issues related to peace and security in the Central African region were under analysis, this Friday, in the hearings that the Head of State, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, granted to representatives of the United Nations Permanent Consultative Committee in charge of security matters in this zone.<\/b><\/p>\n

The members of this body were received, in separate audiences, after participating, this Friday, in Luanda, in the 57th ministerial meeting of the United Nations Permanent Consultative Committee in charge of Security issues in Central Africa (UNSAC).<\/p>\n

To the press, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cameroon, Lejeune Mbella Mbella, expressed his appreciation for the actions carried out by the Angolan statesman, in favor of peace, security and prosperity in Central Africa, with emphasis on the Democratic Republics of Congo, Central African and from Chad.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that the work carried out by President Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o on the African continent has been worthy and \u201chighly appreciated\u201d by the international community.<\/p>\n

For Lejeune Mbella Mbella, the importance of the issues discussed with the Angolan Head of State reflect the political will of member states to peacefully resolve conflicts on the African continent.<\/p>\n

UNSAC includes Angola, Burundi, Gabon, Cameroon, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Sa\u0303o Tome\u0301 and Pri\u0301ncipe, Rwanda, Chad, Central African Republic (CAR) and Equatorial Guinea.<\/p>\n

At another point, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o received the delegation led by the special representative of the UN Secretary-General for Central Africa, Abdou Abarry, who also participated in the UNSAC meeting.<\/p>\n

Approached by journalists, the senior UN official also praised the Angolan Government’s engagement in the search for peace and security in the central region of Africa.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Angolan President has played a central role in resolving several crises still latent in the sub-region, which is why we are here to show that the UN is ready to give its support to all the work that Angola has carried out to seek peace. definitive in our region\u201d, he expressed.<\/p>\n

This Friday, Angola assumed the presidency of the United Nations Permanent Consultative Committee on Security in Central Africa (UNSAC), in a mandate that will extend until November this year.<\/p>\n
