Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The African Union Commissioner for the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Blue Economy and Sustainable Environment, Angolan Josefa Sacko, guaranteed, Thursday (14), in Addis Ababa, that the continent’s youth is at the center of the development agenda. of the organization, especially as it is the youngest population in the world, with around 420 million people aged between 15 and 35 years.<\/b><\/p>\n

Josefa Sacko spoke about this, when she was proceeding with the official launch, by videoconference, of the investment guidelines for young people in the agri-food system in Africa, during the 32nd Session of the FAO Regional Conference for Africa, which the city of Malabo, capital of Equatorial Guinea, welcomes, and assured that “it is this young population that will lead the future of the continent, and investing in youth is fundamental for the development of Africa”. an important role in agri-food systems, whether as producers, processors, food traders, as workers, innovators and entrepreneurs, and as political actors.<\/p>\n
