Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Twelve localities in the province of Moxico, including communal and municipal headquarters, will be electrified by 2027, within the framework of the Government’s plan called \u201cEnergia Angola 2025\u201d, informed, this Friday, the provincial governor, Ernesto Muangala.<\/b><\/p>\n

The government official, who was speaking at the inauguration of the Luena Photovoltaic Plant, a ceremony led by the Minister of Energy A\u0301guas, Joa\u0303o Baptista Borges, said that the construction of these plants aims to expand and promote better distribution of energy to the populations.<\/p>\n

According to the official, these are the regions of Le\u0301ua, with two thousand 735 household connections, Cazombo (15 thousand 908), Lumeje Cameia (5,183), Lumbala Kaquengue (454 thousand), Mussuma Mitete (315 thousand) and Lumbala Nguimbo with six thousand 272 calls.<\/p>\n

The largest solar park in the province is currently under construction, in the municipality of Luau, with the capacity to guarantee 20 thousand 573 household connections.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, Ernesto Muangala recognized that these regions face serious problems in energy supply, hence the need to build more sources of clean and sustainable electricity.<\/p>\n

According to the government official, in line with the National Electricity Distribution Company (ENDE), the expansion of the electricity network in the city of Luena is also planned, with a view to benefiting more families living on the outskirts.<\/p>\n

With the inauguration of the Luena Photovoltaic Plant, the electrification rate in the provincial capital will increase to 60 percent.<\/p>\n

Currently only the municipalities of Camanongue and Luau are connected to the province’s electricity grid.<\/p>\n
