Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>\u201cBendito e\u0301 o Fruto\u201d is the title of the book by Brazilian writer JSantos, launched on Tuesday at the Guimara\u0303es Rosa Institute, in Luanda, with the aim of sharing some moments he lived alongside Artur Arriscado, a former Angolan journalist, who passed away in 2013.<\/b><\/p>\n

The launch event was marked by the presence of the Minister of Culture, Filipe Zau.<\/p>\n

Artur Arriscado lived until his death in Brazil, where, at the invitation of many academic institutions and with his wife, who was a Brazilian diplomat in Portugal, he promoted several lectures, especially on Angolan music.<\/p>\n

According to JSantos, it was during the journalist’s stay in Brazil that he had the opportunity to meet him and learn more about Angola, a country that he also considers his own, due to his ancestral roots.<\/p>\n

The book “Bendito e\u0301 o Fruto\u201d, which has a preface by the journalist and Information Director of Ra\u0301dio Luanda Antena Comercial (LAC), Jose\u0301 Rodrigues, opens with the theme “Memories of Artur Arriscado\u201d, where JSantos says that it was through the same who heard about and saw, for the first time, the fruit of the baobab tree, the mucua.<\/p>\n

The writer also tells how the fruit had a great impact and also how, through Artur Arriscado, he came to like Angolan culture.<\/p>\n

According to JSantos, the book, in addition to honoring Artur Arriscado, pays tribute to Agostinho Neto and King Ekuikui VI. The work also addresses several experiences he had in Angola and with people from the country, with emphasis on the current Minister of Culture, Filipe Zau, who has a dedicated chapter in the work.<\/p>\n

During the activity, JSantos spoke about how rewarding it was to share with Angolans a work resulting from coexistence with people from the region.<\/p>\n

The writer believes that a good story must have love, which is why he left plenty of space for love in the book, because since he had contact with Artur Arriscado he has become increasingly closer to Angola.<\/p>\n

The Minister of Culture, Filipe Zau, considered the launch proof that the world is open and that countries are in permanent communication.<\/p>\n
