Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Public Prosecutor’s Office magistrate Wilson de Oliveira defended, this Friday, in Cacuaco (Luanda), the need to create Asset Recovery Offices, aiming for efficient management.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking in a lecture on \u201cThe Legal Regime for Asset Recovery in Angola: Management of Assets and Arrests until the Judicial Decision of Loss\u201d, organized by the Instituto Superior Polite\u0301cnico de Kangonjo, he stressed that asset management is not just about simply recovering them.<\/p>\n

From the point of view of what has been the practice, he highlighted, the PGR has several institutions that end up being appointed as faithful depositaries, to guarantee the management of these assets until a final decision.<\/p>\n

For the magistrate, this means that this also depends a lot on the speed and correctness with which these decisions of conviction and final confiscation are reached or not.<\/p>\n

Regarding the topic of the lecture, he highlighted that this approach is very relevant, especially in academia, because the PGR has, among several responsibilities, the duty to raise the legal awareness of citizens.<\/p>\n

Students and employees of the aforementioned higher education institution participated in the lecture.<\/p>\n
