Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Te\u0301te Anto\u0301nio, confirmed this Saturday, within the scope of economic diplomacy, the works to requalify the facilities in which the Angolan Vegetable Oil Refinery will operate, starting at the end of this year.<\/b><\/p>\n

These are the former Textang 1 facilities, located in the Boavista Zone, acquired by Grupo Naval through a public tender.<\/p>\n

The future oil factory is an investment of 80 million US dollars and will employ a thousand workers.<\/p>\n

Accompanied by the Italian ambassador to Angola, Cristiano Gallo, and senior officials from MIREX, minister Te\u0301te Anto\u0301nio received detailed information about the new project that could soon benefit the population of Luandina and beyond.<\/p>\n

According to the project’s general director, He\u0301lder Caetano, the new cooking oil factory will have a refining capacity of 500 tons per day.<\/p>\n

Previously, the minister visited several manufacturing units in the Viana Industrial Development Hub, starting at the facilities of the Naval Group FEEDTEC, factories producing pasta, wheat and corn flour, hygiene utensils (diapers, napkins, toilet paper) and zinc sheets for civil construction.<\/p>\n

The Naval Group, which was established in Angola in 2007, has stood out in the agro-industrial, industrial and wholesale sectors, with the production and sale of food products, construction materials, industry and agriculture, as well as soap , soap, bleach and powder detergents.<\/p>\n

It is a conglomerate of six family-owned companies, which employs more than 2,100 workers, 95% of whom are Angolan.<\/p>\n
