Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Young people from the province of Huambo this Saturday saw better days ahead for the African continent, despite the political crises that still exist in some countries.<\/b><\/p>\n

The fact was expressed during the provincial youth conference in reference to Africa Day, marked on May 25th.<\/p>\n

At the event, which marked the days of the Provincial Youth Council (CPJ), the topic of \u201cThe current challenges of young Africans\u201d was discussed, where they expressed total belief in a different future for the continent \u201ccradle of humanity\u201d.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, historian and university professor, Ama\u0301vel Ngolo, called on young people to raise their level of technical, professional and academic knowledge, to continue to assert themselves in society and in defense of Africa’s \u201ctrue values\u201d.<\/p>\n

The academic discouraged pessimism about a bright future for young people on the African continent.<\/p>\n

He encouraged this fringe of society, which was the driving force, to believe in and put professional potential at the forefront, for an Africa of prosperity for all.<\/p>\n

In turn, the executive secretary of CPJ in Huambo, Joa\u0303o Lara Macuva Hotalala, urged youth leaders in this region of the country to capitalize on the State’s economic incentive initiatives, to empower members of youth associations and organizations.<\/p>\n

Africa Day, formerly known as African Liberation Day, is celebrated annually on May 25<\/p>\n

This date marks the anniversary of the founding of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) in 1963 and replaced, in 2002, by the African Union.<\/p>\n
