Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angola and Portugal announced, shortly, the signing between the Courts of Auditors of the two countries of a cooperation protocol for the strengthening of relations and also within the framework of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP).<\/b><\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Tavares, president of the Portuguese Court of Auditors, provided this information during his visit to the municipality of Soyo (province of Zaire), in the company of his Angolan counterpart Exalgina Gamb\u00f4a, as part of the activities commemorating the 21st anniversary of the institution in the country, marked the 12th of this month.<\/p>\n

According to the Portuguese advisor judge, the lines of cooperation will focus, particularly, on the training of auditors of both courts and on the development of joint actions, with the aim of finding control methodologies, not only verifying the collection of revenue, but as well as public expenditure.<\/p>\n

On her trip to the province of Zaire, the presiding judge of the Court of Auditors, Exalgina Gamb\u00f4a, visited, on Wednesday, in the municipality of Soyo, some structuring projects, including Angola LNG, for the exploration of liquefied natural gas, the Cycle combined electricity production and the Kwanda Base for logistical support to oil companies.<\/p>\n

Accompanied by the governor of Zaire, Pedro Makita, in addition to Jos\u00e9 Tavares, Gamb\u00f4a received detailed explanations from those in charge about the operation of the enterprises, considered of great value from the point of view of revenue collection and job creation.<\/p>\n
