Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Angolan Communities, Domingos Vieira Lopes, highlighted this Sunday, in Seoul, the “Vision Statement”, proposed by the Republic of Korea, as a document of capital importance to strengthen cooperation between this Asian country and Africa.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to a press release, the declaration includes seven priority areas, namely, trade and investment, responding to global challenges, sustainable infrastructure projects, professional training and education, digital transformation, science and technology, promoting mutual understanding and exchange, as well as peace and security.<\/p>\n

The Angolan diplomat defended the aforementioned proposal when speaking at the meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Affairs of Korea and Africa, held in Seoul, with the aim of finalizing the preparations for the Korea-Africa Summit to take place on the 4th and 5th of this month. , in the South Korean capital.<\/p>\n

For Domingos Vieira Lopes, the summit aims to strengthen the probability of success, with mutual benefits to the emerging needs of Korea and Africa, with a view to cooperation in the short, medium and long term.<\/p>\n

He demonstrated a particular interest in sharing experiences in agriculture, climate change, technology, infrastructure and economic development, and expressed hope that cooperation with Korea will expand in these areas in the future.<\/p>\n

\u200bHe stated that the summit reflects Korea’s commitment to deepening cooperation to turn a new page, aimed at building a relationship with greater commitment shared by values \u200b\u200bsuch as solidarity, peace and prosperity between partners.<\/p>\n

A total of 45 African countries participated in the meeting, co-chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Korea, Cho Tae-yeol, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mauritania, Mohamed Salem Merzoug.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the agenda and protocols of the summit were reviewed, as well as the declaration to be submitted to the meeting of heads of state and government.<\/p>\n

Angola will be present at the Korea-Africa Summit with a delegation led by the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, Jose\u0301 de Lima Massano, representing the President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o.<\/p>\n
