Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The national musical ensemble Angola 70, with the \u201cquetas and pasts of the past\u201d, made the thousand spectators present on the first day of the International Festival \u201cGoethe Institut\u201d, a German cultural institute, vibrate on Saturday, at the Cine Sa\u0303o Paulo, in Luanda. in Angola. <\/b><\/p>\n

In the show called \u201cThe future was gone\u201d, the artists sang with the public around 20 musical songs from the 60s, 70s and 80s, which mark the history of Angolan music.<\/p>\n

The show featured a performance by Teddy Nsingi, Joa\u0303ozinho Morgado, Botto Trindade, Rau\u0301l Tollingas and Dulce Trindade, members of the musical group, and had as a special attraction the artists Mias Galhetas, Bucho Bra\u0301s and Legalize and Brando.<\/p>\n

According to the project coordinator, Ili\u0301dio Bra\u0301s, the festival aims to celebrate the 15 years of operation of the German cultural institute, in Luanda, and will take place over 30 days with a diversification of activities such as musical shows, dance and theater.<\/p>\n

The event, he said, will feature the participation of 77 national and international artists, as well as thematic debates on various sectors with national and foreign experts.<\/p>\n

The opening of the festivities was also marked by an exhibition of 30 photographs of cinemas in the country, entitled \u201cThe history of cinemas in Angola\u201d, by Angolan artist Walter Fernandes and with the screening of the play “Mujumbos” by filmmaker Mussunda Nzombo.<\/p>\n

According to Walter Fernandes, the exhibition is a portrait of the unique architectural structure of 45 cinemas in the country, compared to other world geographies.<\/p>\n

When presiding over the opening ceremony of the festival, Luanda’s provincial director of Culture, Tatiana Mbuta, considered the project as a multidimensional cultural representation that contributes to cultural exchange.<\/p>\n

In turn, the representative of the German embassy in Angola, Regina Guttenberg, said that this is the first festival to take place in Lusophone Africa, since the creation of the project in 2009.<\/p>\n
