Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>About 200 young people from zones A and B, in the municipality of Benguela, will benefit, in the coming days, from professional kits, for the creation of small and medium-sized companies.<\/b><\/p>\n

The professional kits will be delivered within the scope of the “ZER – Rural Economic Zone” project, within the framework of a cooperation agreement between the NGO Elikongelo and the Government of the Province of Benguela, financed by the Social Support Fund (FAS), which aims to enable young people, aged 17 to 45, and reintegrate them into active economic life.<\/p>\n

About 65 percent of beneficiaries are female. The project includes free theoretical and practical training in the areas of cutting and sewing, cooking, pastry, assembly and application of plasterboard, carpentry, metalwork, electricity, cooking and computing.<\/p>\n

The project is budgeted at US$30,000, to be used to create different conditions, purchase technical and administrative support equipment, refresh the trainers and provide technical-professional training.<\/p>\n

According to the president of the NGO Elikongelo, Leonel da Silva, the project also has an additional amount of US$60,000, reserved for the purchase of 200 kits, as part of the Executive’s strategy, aimed at training young people and creating small businesses. , with a view to combating unemployment.<\/p>\n

He pointed out the need for the General Labor Inspectorate and other similar bodies to rigorously supervise the training actions that take place in various locations, especially those planned by the Angolan Government, in order to avoid mistakes during their implementation.<\/p>\n

He explained that zones A and B were chosen according to their territorial extension and population agglomeration, as well as the greater number of vulnerable families.<\/p>\n

The traditional authorities, coordinators of neighborhoods and community leaders, he said, will also monitor the execution of the project, which also aims to lower the delinquency rate in the neighborhoods, occupation of young people, the emergence of small businesses, as well as social and economic improvements. of families in communities.<\/p>\n

The young Juelma Manjolo, 24 years old, resident in the Cambanda neighborhood, zone A, candidate for the Pastry course, promises to take advantage of her professional training and apply her knowledge in practice. She added that she plans to create a small business to improve her living conditions and provide employment for other young people.<\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Kabangosa, 20 years old, from the 4 de Abril neighborhood, Zona B, promises to apply himself, so that, in three weeks, he can learn to apply plasterboard.<\/p>\n

At an institutional level, the NGO Elikongelo also maintains a partnership with the National Institute for Children (INAC), the Delegation of Justice and Human Rights and other public and private entities, within the scope of its intervention actions in the communities, in matters of protection and child protection.<\/p>\n
