Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The poet and reciter Paulo Tato\u0301rio presents today, at 5 pm, at the Mediateca Abel Abraa\u0303o, in Cuito, capital of the province of Bie\u0301, his book of poetry entitled \u201cSonhos 100 Pernas\u201d, starting a national tour whose main objective is to put the work available to different literature-loving audiences.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the poet, in statements, the main intention is to break the idea that Luanda exhausts the circulation of literary works without giving the privilege to readers from other regions of having access to the book and direct contact with the author of the work.<\/p>\n

“I intend to take the book to all provinces of the country. I have received many requests, a sign that the book has been well received. For us, as influencers through literature, it is important that we take the book to readers”, he defended.<\/p>\n

Launched in March last year, at the Union of Angolan Writers (UEA), in Luanda, under the aegis of the publisher Alupolo, the work will also be presented tomorrow to readers in the province of Huambo, at 7 pm, at the Auditorium of Culture.<\/p>\n

“In Huambo I can count on the support of the provincial nucleus of the LEVAR \u0301T movement, which is why the work will be presented by the local person responsible for this institution, Toma\u0301s Anto\u0301nio Pakissi”, he said.<\/p>\n

For Paulo Tato\u0301rio, poetry has several functions, in addition to aesthetics, as it is academically indicated. The poet argues that the greatest and main function of poetry is social, the one whose objective is to awaken people’s awareness of the various problems that society faces.<\/p>\n

A member of the Young Brigade of Literature of Angola (BJLA), Paulo Tato\u0301rio had his first contact with poetry in a religious environment, having learned to recite poetry at the Tocoi\u0301sta Church, before embracing the aspect of declaiming in the different environments where he was called to mark presence with the art of poetry.<\/p>\n

Paulo Tato\u0301rio has a career spanning more than a decade dedicated to literature and points to BJLA poets as references, such as Joa\u0303o Tala, Joa\u0303o Maimona, Lopito Feijo\u0301o and Conceic\u0327a\u0303o Cristo\u0301va\u0303o, poets he considers his compass in the great achievements of literary life. As for writing techniques, Paulo Tato\u0301rio considers himself a spontaneous poet, who seeks poetry in everything he observes around him.<\/p>\n

A well-known figure in the literary circuit of the new generation of poets, Paulo Tato\u0301rio Cao\u0301lo, poet reciter and writer, is the literary pseudonym of Paulo Domingos Cao\u0301lo, born in Luanda, Bairro Palanca, on October 30, 1986. He is a Law student at the Jean Piaget University and secretary for Cultural Activities of the National Club of Poets and Troubadours. He was the winner of the first edition of the literary prize “40 Years of Independence\u201d, held by the Jean Piaget University. His texts have been published in national and international anthologies. He is one of the resident guests of the program “100% Jovem\u201d, on Ra\u0301dio Tocoi\u0301sta.<\/p>\n
