Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The National Employment Fund (FUNEA) will be officially launched on August 6th of this year, announced today, Wednesday, in Luanda, the Secretary of State for Labor and Social Security, Pedro Filipe.<\/b><\/p>\n

Approved by the Economic Commission of the Council of Ministers in April 2023, the National Employment Fund of Angola (FUNEA) is an instrument that aims to guarantee the financial resources necessary to promote public and private initiatives that allow the insertion of recent graduates and unemployed people in the business market.<\/p>\n

FUNEA aims to contribute to the promotion of employment, through the mitigation of distortions in the labor market, the granting of non-refundable incentives to young people who attend courses or professional training actions, financing projects by entities of the National Professional Training System and Professional Technical Education, and the promotion of reimbursable financing for micro and small companies.<\/p>\n

According to the Secretary, who was speaking at the 9th edition of the “MAPTSS Briefing”, at the launch event all initiatives to be financed by the National Employment Agenda will be presented.<\/p>\n

The National Agenda for Employment began to be officially implemented, with its approval in Presidential Decree no. 226\/23 of December 5, as a result of the need to establish guidelines for the actions of different public and private actors in the field of employment. promoting employment, with the aim of reducing the unemployment rate in the economy.<\/p>\n

In turn, FUNEA will be able to finance professional qualification actions, registered in the Catalog, modular training programs for workers as a way of encouraging them to increase their competence levels and increase the competitiveness of companies, as well as benefiting young people, 40 percent of whom they must belong to the most vulnerable social groups and at least 50 percent of the trainees benefiting must be women.With the main objective of ensuring the diversification of the training offer and promoting the implementation of professional qualifications in line with the specialization profile of each productive sector, the qualifications distributed in the Catalog are identified as priority.<\/p>\n

FUNEA could be a tool for improving the image of professional training and boosting its relevance, due to the financing of employability and professional training policies and initiatives, contributing to the valorization of human capital, qualification of young people in sectors considered strategic.<\/p>\n

These are sectors capable of transforming Angola into a modern and competitive country, with a view to constantly promoting qualification opportunities for people in the job market, through training programs adjusted to the real needs of the job market and guaranteeing everyone Angolans, especially young people, access to quality professional training, and greater opportunities for integration into the job market.<\/p>\n

“The State intends to concentrate financial resources on the various employability initiatives spread across the country, allowing them to be better structured and implemented, avoiding the repetition of projects by the same state or private bodies and in the same locations”, he said.<\/p>\n

Pedro Felipe explained that the majority of projects financed by the Fund will be aimed at young people. \u201cThe diploma will be implemented quickly to meet the needs of young people, who constitute the largest group of unemployed people in society\u201d, he stressed.<\/p>\n

He highlighted that there will be rigor in the allocation of financial resources, as before the money is granted, the projects will be screened by a team of experts for better evaluation.<\/p>\n
