Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The administrative authorities of the municipality of Cangandala reiterated, Monday, the Administration’s commitment to the rehabilitation of roads, with a view to allowing commercial exchanges and improving the quality of life of residents.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the municipal administrator of Cangandala, Dilangue Baia\u0303o, given the problem of access roads, the provincial government and the Municipal Administration are doing everything they can to rehabilitate the roads, especially the section that connects the headquarters of Cangandala to the commune of Bembo, across the bridge over the Luxexe river.<\/p>\n

When intervening at the opening of the Municipal Forum for accountability and collection of contributions for the citizen’s participatory budget for 2025, the person responsible also pointed out the intervention in the route between the municipalities of Caribo and Culamagia, as challenges to be taken into account.<\/p>\n

He specified that the priorities for the next economic years include the continued resolution of energy problems, through public lighting, home connections and expansion of the network to peripheral neighborhoods and surrounding areas, as well as to communal headquarters, along national road 140.<\/p>\n

He highlighted Education, Health and Agriculture, as other sectors whose government actions in the province and municipality aim to provide the well-being of the population.<\/p>\n

For him, the resolution of these problems must involve the citizen, within the scope of proximity governance, based on the observance of the principles of legality, impartiality, objectivity, neutrality, parsimony, accountability and simplicity, by managers as public servants.Regarding the participatory budget, he considered it to be an instrument of transparency, the preparation of which must have the citizen’s input, therefore, he defended the need for citizens to collaborate in presenting suggestions, criticisms, empathy and mutual respect so that the municipality can develop.<\/p>\n

The Forum served to discuss the General State Budget (OGE) of the municipality for 2024, estimated at 803 million, 513 thousand and 682 kwanzas, intended for the implementation of the Combat Poverty program, Municipal Intervention Plan (PIIM), among other actions, including current expenses, of which 557 million, 898 thousand and 484 kwanzas, are already committed and being executed.<\/p>\n

For a few hours, the state of the financial execution of the Municipal Administration, the Integrated Program to Combat Poverty, the PIIM and the Participatory Budget Projects were analyzed, given the opinions of citizens received in 2023, among other aspects.<\/p>\n

The identification of the problems and needs of the population in each commune and the presentation of opinions to resolve them and to prepare the Municipality’s Budget for the next year are among the event’s themes.<\/p>\n

With an estimated population of 50 thousand inhabitants, the municipality of Cangandala occupies an area of \u200b\u200bsix thousand 301 square kilometers and comprises the municipal seat and the municipalities of Caribo, Culamagia and Bembo.<\/p>\n
