Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The state of cooperation between Angola and Kenya in the most varied areas of political, diplomatic, economic and social life was, Thursday (21), under analysis in Luanda, during a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, T\u00e9te Ant\u00f3nio, and Kenyan Ambassador Josphat K. Maikara.<\/b><\/p>\n

A note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which Jornal de Angola had access to, states that the occasion served for the two individuals to talk about various matters on the bilateral and multilateral agenda.<\/p>\n

Regarding the bilateral issue, T\u00e9te Ant\u00f3nio and Josphat Maikara spoke about the exchange of high-level visits, as well as the timing and programming of meetings in the region in which they are located on the continent.<\/p>\n

In multilateralism, the parties focused their discussions on holding international events during the current year, with particular emphasis on the Ocean Conference, to be held from 27 June to 1 July, in Portugal.<\/p>\n

The meeting was attended by ambassador Miguel Bembe, director for Africa, the Middle East and Regional Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and by M\u00e1rcio Burity, consultant to the minister.<\/p>\n

Angola and Kenya have maintained relations for several years. In 2012, they signed three legal instruments. These are the General Agreement on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation, the Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Kenya, as well as the Agreement on the creation of the Bilateral Commission .<\/p>\n
