Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The preservation of cultural heritage and folklore are the highlights of the creation of the \u201cCommunity Stage\u201d project, which aims to honor and give greater visibility to creators in the municipality of Viana, in Luanda.<\/b><\/p>\n

The creation of new cultural nuances will allow the emergence of an artistic program that is attractive, interactive and of social inclusion, said, yesterday, in statements to Jornal de Angola, the Municipal Director of Tourism and Culture of Viana, Melquim dos Santos.<\/p>\n

The cultural project that will cover all districts of Viana, he said, will soon have the “trial balloon” with an activity to be carried out with the local administration, in anticipation of the preparations for the celebrations of another anniversary of the Calumbo Commune, which is marked on the 30th of May.<\/p>\n

Melquim dos Santos mentioned that the “Community Stage” is a tribute to the great composers from Luanda, having added that a technical team is already working on structuring the project.<\/p>\n

A mixture of joy, emotion and tradition, he said, is what is expected with the materialization of the project that will help to give greater dynamics to cultural and artistic activities in the satellite municipality of Luanda.<\/p>\n

During the Calumbo festivities, he explained, the intention is to create an attractive program that can promote cultural tourism in the region, where visitors will be able to highlight the full potential and valences of its historical and cultural heritage, from monuments and sites to products from the field and fishing.<\/p>\n

Traditional dance and music, fundamentally, and some moments with carnival groups from the municipality will parade on the “Community Stage”. A book fair, photographic exhibition on the Kwanza Corridor and a fair promoted by the administration of Calumbo, in partnership with the cooperative of fishermen and farmers called “Uni\u00e3o Baixo Kwanza”.<\/p>\n

The program also includes a guided visit to some of the main sites and historical sites located in the Kwanza River Corridor, in the town of Calumbo, such as the Sanctuary of the Church of S. Jos\u00e9 de Calumbo, classified as historical and cultural heritage by Ordinance No. 10678 , published in the Official Bulletin n\u00ba 11, of March 11, 1959, to the water level meter, to the Ramal do Calumbo and to the Imbondeiros da Sereia and the Concentration of Slaves.<\/p>\n
