Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>More than five thousand people, including bench vendors, street vendors, fairgrounds and others who carry out their commercial activity in an informal way, in the province of U\u00edge, will be included in the formal market, with the launch, yesterday, at the Feira market, on the outskirts of city, of the Informal Economy Reconversion Program (PREI), by the Secretary of State for the Economy, Dalva Ringote.<\/b><\/p>\n

In the act, witnessed by the provincial governor, Jos\u00e9 Carvalho da Rocha, the massive presence of people who carry out informal commercial activity was notable. The Secretary of State and the provincial governor proceeded with the symbolic delivery of cards to bench sellers, street vendors and fairgrounds to be able to proceed with other steps that allow them to formalize the business and have the Tax Identification Number (NIF).<\/p>\n

The act of launching the PREI in U\u00edge also aimed to allow entrepreneurs and other people who carry out commercial activity informally to set up companies in individual, collective, cooperatives, associations and public limited companies. In the process, beneficiaries can also register their births, obtain their Identity Card, benefit from financial literacy training, open bank accounts and register with the National Institute of Social Security (INSS).<\/p>\n

The program also provides for the professional training of beneficiaries, at the National Institute for Employment and Professional Training (INEFOP) and the Local Center for Entrepreneurship and Employment Services (CLESE), as well as the provision of microcredit for business expansion, contributing to the development of the country’s economy.<\/p>\n

Literacy<\/b><\/p>\n

The new phase of the implementation of the PREI, according to the Secretary of State for the Economy, includes literacy training for informal economic agents.<\/p>\n

Dalva Ringote said that the objective is to have a better interpretation of the program, to facilitate the performance of all tasks related to the process, from registering with the municipal administration, obtaining the BI, opening bank accounts, requesting microcredit and other administrative services.<\/p>\n

The provincial governor underlined that the launch of the PREI in the province of U\u00edge represents the guarantee of a better future for those who work informally.<\/p>\n

He highlighted that the registration in the National Social Security System that guarantees the retirement pension in the elderly, for reasons of disability or others that prevent them from continuing with activities. “Today we all have the strength to work. Tomorrow, we will no longer have them. Therefore, the formalization of our activities is a concern of the Executive, a concern for the future of all those who exercise a certain profession or activity”, he said.<\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Carvalho da Rocha appealed to everyone who is in this condition to join the program, taking into account that “there are only advantages in it”.<\/p>\n

The launch of the PREI in U\u00edge was preceded by a meeting between the Secretary of State for the Economy with local businessmen and producers, traditional authorities and religious entities.<\/p>\n

At the meeting, the paths that can lead economic agents to carry out their commercial activity in a sustainable way and have greater access to programs and financial packages to support the national economy, through the availability of bank credit, were analyzed.<\/p>\n
