Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The reforms of the \u201cSimplifica\u201d program have made life easier for citizens and boosted the business environment, revealed on Thursday, in Luanda, the Secretary of the President of the Republic for State Reform, Pedro Fiete.<\/b><\/p>\n

The official, who spoke about the \u201cImpact of simplification measures on citizens\u2019 lives and the reinforcement of their implementation\u201d, during the lecture promoted by the MPLA Provincial Committee in Luanda, highlighted that the simplification measures, implemented by the Government, provided greater convenience to citizens.<\/p>\n

Among the notable measures, Pedro Fiete highlighted the elimination of the Criminal Record Certificate and the possibility of processing the Identity Card from birth, as well as the abolition of declarations of loss and reconfirmation of school enrolment.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, military registration is automatic and the identity card can be obtained without presenting the birth certificate, due to the interoperability of the databases,\u201d said Pedro Fiete, ensuring that the changes promoted agility and reduced travel.<\/p>\n

In the business sphere, the Secretary of the President of the Republic highlighted the fact that commercial and industrial licensing has been significantly simplified.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe License is currently valid for an unlimited period of time and covers both the sale of goods and the provision of services,\u201d he explained, describing how the new \u201cSingle License\u201d model no longer requires the presentation of additional certificates, such as habitability and fire safety certificates, which were previously required.<\/p>\n

Pedro Fiete added that the implementation of Simplifica also allowed inspection processes to be integrated and faster, reducing the burden on entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n

Impact on citizenship<\/p>\n

For the first secretary of the MPLA Committee for the Specialization of Jurists, Isabel Neto, the impact of the reforms on citizenship and the simplifications reflect the priority given by the Government to solving the problems that affect the daily lives of Angolans.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur mission is to improve people\u2019s lives by reducing bureaucracy and making access to public services faster and easier,\u201d said the secretary, emphasizing the Executive\u2019s continued support.<\/p>\n

The reforms were also praised by municipal officials, who reported a positive reaction from the population to the changes, such as director Fernando Joa\u0303o, who highlighted that the \u201cSimplifica\u201d platform brought greater efficiency to administrative operations, significantly reducing waiting times and costs for citizens.<\/p>\n

The national director of Registries and Notaries, Aristides Marques, highlighted that the modernization of services will mean that the Birth Certificate will no longer be mandatory for obtaining an Identity Card, since the new database is integrated.<\/p>\n

The official said that the measures are part of a coordinated effort to simplify interaction between the State and citizens, promoting a more agile, modern and accessible public administration, which contributes to the country’s economic and social development.<\/p>\n
