Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angola reaffirmed, this Friday, the need to include youth in the promotion of a culture of peace.<\/b><\/p>\n

To this end, the country must resort to creating policies and training programs for young people and other initiatives such as the Pan-African Forum for a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence – Luanda Biennial.<\/p>\n

The position was expressed by the Angolan ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union (AU) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), Miguel Ce\u0301sar Domingos Bembe, during the 1243rd meeting of the Peace and Security Council (PSC) of the continental organization, dedicated to the implementation of the agenda regarding youth, peace and security in Africa, reported a press release sent Online.<\/p>\n

The country also recommended the evaluation of continental, regional and national commitments to the inclusion of youth in the construction and maintenance of peace and security in African states and the analysis of the United Nations methodology used to recognize the importance of youth leadership in peace promotion processes and in combating violent extremism, the document states.<\/p>\n
