Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Fuel marketing company Pumangol recorded 9% growth in retail sales in the third quarter of 2024, reaching a total volume of 182,678 metric tons (MT).<\/b><\/p>\n

According to a press release sent Online, this performance was driven mainly by diesel sales, which totaled 99,135 MT, an increase of 11% compared to the same period last year. Gasoline sales grew by 7%, reaching 83,542 MT.<\/p>\n

In the industrial sector, the note states, sales of bulk fuel rose 13%, totaling 83,317 MT, while in the aviation segment, sales of Jet-A1 grew 26%, resulting in a turnover of 9.1 billion Kwanzas.<\/p>\n

“This solid growth reflects strong performance in both the B2B (business to business) and B2C (business to consumer) segments, reaffirming Pumangol’s commitment to excellence and innovation in serving the Angolan market”, the company highlights.<\/p>\n

Within the scope of B2C, the firm implemented a pioneering payment system via QR code at gas stations, providing a more practical and agile shopping experience, reducing waiting times and eliminating the need for change.<\/p>\n

Pumangol, the document states, remains aligned with sustainability and innovation practices with investment in renewable energy and the installation of solar panels at new stations.<\/p>\n

The company also reinforced its commitment to social responsibility, developing initiatives aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<\/p>\n

During this quarter, several actions in favor of communities stood out, such as awareness campaigns for road safety, cleaning actions in coastal areas, lectures on health and well-being and donation of drums for recycling projects, says the note.<\/p>\n
