Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angola is participating in the 92nd Interpol General Assembly, which takes place from sunday until Thursday in the United Kingdom.<\/b><\/p>\n

The opening ceremony was presided over by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, flanked by Interpol President Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi.<\/p>\n

According to the Ministry of the Interior, on Facebook, the national delegation is headed by the national director of the Exchange and Cooperation Office of the Ministry of the Interior (MININT), Jose\u0301 Dembi, the Angolan ambassador to the United Kingdom, Geraldo Nunda, and the director of Exchange and Cooperation of the National Police, Destino Pedro.<\/p>\n

More than 3,000 delegates from more than 196 member states are represented at the event.<\/p>\n

During the activity, delegates will address the prevention and combat of organized transnational crime, namely terrorism, cybercrime, money laundering, trafficking in human beings and organs.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, members will also elect the new Secretary General of Interpol, the members of the Executive Committee, and approve the programme of activities and the budget for 2025.<\/p>\n
