Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Twenty-five works of art have been on display since Thursday in Lisbon, in a collective exhibition called \u201cDipanda 4.9\u201d, in which several Angolan artists living in Portugal participate.The exhibition, organized by the Group of Angolan Artists in Portugal, with the support of the Angolan Embassy in that Portuguese country, portrays nature, people’s way of life, thoughts and experiences.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking to the press, the exhibition curator, Lino Damia\u0303o, highlighted that this is the second time that the centre has carried out an activity of this kind, in honour of Angola’s Independence.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn 2023, we held Dipanda 4.8 and now 4.9 with new and old Angolan artists. This is an event that kicks off our celebrations of the 50th anniversary of National Independence for which we count on the support of the Embassy of Angola\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

Lino Damia\u0303o added that the exhibition, which will be open to the public until the last day of this month, includes paintings and some sculptures.<\/p>\n

In turn, the Angolan ambassador to Portugal, who witnessed the inauguration ceremony, congratulated the association for this cultural initiative, part of the celebrations of the 49th anniversary of National Independence, but with an eye on the fiftieth anniversary of the dipanda.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know that this exhibition is just the first stage of a vast series of cultural activities that they have decided to carry out in this space \u2013 which is a great honour for us\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, as a representative of the Angolan State in Portugal, it is a source of pride and satisfaction to be able, albeit in a modest way, to see our Embassy, \u200b\u200band also yours, supporting this important cultural event, to which I wish the best of success,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
