Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Angolan Government considers the African Union Summit on terrorism and unconstitutional changes, a topic proposed by the President of the Republic, Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o, for debate on the 28th of this month, in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, an important milestone.<\/b><\/p>\n

The position was expressed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, T\u00e9te Ant\u00f3nio, during the second meeting of the Permanent Joint Commission for Cooperation between Angola and Equatorial Guinea, the host country of the summit.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the opening of the second meeting of the Joint Commission between Angola and Equatorial Guinea, the minister thanked the Guinean Government for its willingness to organize and host the summit.<\/p>\n

In it, he recalled, the issue of maritime piracy, the unconstitutional changes of governments and proposals on political, legal and operational measures that are most suited to prevention and effective combat will also be discussed.<\/p>\n

For his part, the Guinean minister expressed his unconditional support for the Angolan Head of State’s initiative on the need to bring to the continental debate the fight against terrorism and the danger posed by the new unconstitutional tendency to rise to power in the region.<\/p>\n

This phenomenon, he underlined, is today a scourge that impedes the effective growth and economic development of populations. “We must all fight this evil until it is eradicated,” she reiterated.<\/p>\n

The current socio-economic situation of peace and security advises States, particularly the countries of the South, to strengthen strategic cooperation relations for development and stability.<\/p>\n

The issues conceived by the Commission with an integrative vision in the economic, social, environmental, peace and security domains to boost development, he added, must remain at the center of relations, under the guidance of the two Heads of State.<\/p>\n
