Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The minister of Finance, Vera Daves, on Monday in Luanda highlighted the benefits of the electronic system of tax documents to combat tax evasion.<\/b><\/p>\n

She was speaking during a meeting with MPs, with the aim, among others, of evaluating aspects relating to the Law that approves the 2025 General State Budget (OGE).<\/p>\n

“Digital submission is essential, but we understand that there are taxpayers that face difficulties. In specific cases, the submission can be made at AGT’s facilities”, she stressed, requesting, on the other hand, the constraints in implementing such a service.<\/p>\n

Vera Daves also spoke about the debt balance, emphasizing that it will be published periodically on the Ministry of Finance website and submitted quarterly to the National Assembly.<\/p>\n

The meeting generated debate on the issue of public debt, additional credits and the electronic submission of tax documents for payment of taxes.<\/p>\n

The vice-president of the 5th Committee of the National Assembly, Joa\u0303o Domingos, gave a detailed overview of the discussions, highlighting the relevance of the topic related to the additional credits.<\/p>\n

“There was an initial understanding that the additional credits require separate authorization from the Assembly. However, she clarified that these credits are already integrated into the approved OGE, allowing the government flexibility to deal with emerging issues”, the minister explained.<\/p>\n

In turn, MP from the National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA), Manuel da Fonseca argued that, given the need to use additional credits, the Head of State must present to the National Assembly how and for what this amount will be used.<\/p>\n

The parliamentarians from the 1st Committee on Constitutional and Legal Affairs, from the 4th Committee on State Administration and Local Government and 5th Committee on Economy and Finance gave a favorable opinion to the chapters and more than thirty articles of the aforementioned OGE 2025 draft law, in a debate which included the participation of the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, Jose\u0301 de Lima Massano.<\/p>\n

The General State Budget draft law (OGE) 2025 will be up for a global vote in the National Assembly, on the 12th of this month.<\/p>\n

The draft law OGE2025 increases revenues and expenses valued at 32.63 billion Kwanzas and presents, among other lines of force, a real growth in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of 4.14%, to be driven by the growth of non-oil sector, which is expected to grow 5.1%.<\/p>\n
