Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Ombudsman, Florbela Ara\u00fajo, participates today until Friday, in New York, in the annual meeting of the Board of Directors of the International Institute of Ombudsmen (IOI) which, among other issues, will address the accession of new members, regional subsidies and tax exemptions.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to a press release from the Ombudsman, Florbela Ara\u00fajo will participate in other regional meetings on behalf of the region’s providers.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the note says, the International Institute of Providers will present the annual report of activities, discuss financial issues, training, working mechanisms and the signing of a memorandum between the IOI and the Institute of Training and Research of the Nations Nations (UNITAR).<\/p>\n

The Angolan Ombudsman was accredited as a member of the International Institute of Ombudsmen in June 2021 and in October of the same year Florbela Ara\u00fajo was elected director of the Institute for Africa.<\/p>\n

The election aimed to strengthen the union of providers in the region around the great challenges and principles that guide institutions in the defense and dignity of the citizen.<\/p>\n

Established in 1978, the IOI is an international Ombudsman organization with a global vocation for cooperation between ombudsmen.<\/p>\n
