Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Cabinet Council, meeting under the guidance of the Head of State, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, agreed on Thursday, in Luanda, the approval of the Draft Presidential Decree on the Urban Plan for the Airport City of Icolo e Bengo (ICB-Aerotro\u0301polis).<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the communique\u0301 from the meeting the document describes the design process, from the programme to the concept of urban plan for the Airport City, highlighting the key principles.<\/p>\n

With the approval of this plan, the aim is to establish a new logistics service centre, focusing on the initiatives of the Green Airport Agenda and adopting a sustainable implementation.<\/p>\n

It also intends to design an \u201cAngola of the Future\u201d that attracts investments and puts the country in a position as a leader in connecting Africa to global markets, offering a unique opportunity for the new province of Icolo and Bengo, with the definition of an evolutionary trajectory. It also serves to attract foreign investment and through the promotion of new initiatives in the field of research and education, as well as to create jobs for the current and future residents of Icolo e Bengo, in line with the economic growth predicted for 2050.<\/p>\n

Transport <\/b><\/p>\n

The Cabinet Council considered the Draft Presidential Decree that approves the National Civil Aviation Security Programme (PNSAC), a document that contains general security provisions emanating from section 17 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation.<\/p>\n

The provisions are applicable to all public and private entities involved directly or indirectly in the activities of facilitating air transport and security against acts of unlawful interference, throughout the national territory.<\/p>\n

Practically, this diploma is intended to update the National Civil Aviation Safety Programme, in order to adjust it to the standards and recommended practices, aiming to have a greatest possible uniformity, in accordance with the Convention on International Civil Aviation, the international procedures established by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the Air Safety Regulations of Angola (RSAA).<\/p>\n

In this Thursday’s session, on the field of culture, the Cabinet Council assessed the Draft Presidential Decree that approves the Plan for Support and Promotion of Culture 2025-2027 (PLANACULT), an document that aims to support and promote culture within the scope of the process of national unity, the preservation of its diversity and economic and social development.<\/p>\n

Specifically, it establishes as objectives the expansion of the supply of cultural goods and services, the promotion of the production and distribution of cultural content in Angolan languages of African origin and the strengthening of the production chains of cultural and creative industries.<\/p>\n

It also aims to improve the quality of artistic education in the disciplines of music, dance, theatre, literature, visual arts and cinema, the protection, preservation and enhancement of national cultural heritage and the boost of local economies through cultural and creative industries.<\/p>\n

PLANACULT also aims to promote cultural diversity, strengthen inter-religious dialogue and promote cultural tourism.<\/p>\n

The plan will cover all the country and its actions must be transversal to all provinces and its effective implementation will be based on the social and cultural matrix, based on the diversity of habits, customs and conditions specific to each region.<\/p>\n

In the field of education, the participants of the meeting considered the Draft Presidential Decree that approves the School Book Policy, a document that aims to guarantee equitable access to students’ school books during the teaching-learning process.<\/p>\n

In the field of education, the Council of Ministers considered the Draft Presidential Decree that approves the School Book Policy, a diploma that aims to guarantee equitable access to students’ school books during the teaching-learning process.<\/p>\n

The target is the full training of the individual in light of the demands of the individual and collective life, thus contributing to the development of knowledge, skills, attitudes, values and ethical principles, especially for children and young people.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the school book, being a fundamental instrument in the teaching-learning process, the government considers that there is a need to establish the legal and institutional framework for its preparation, editing, graphic production, availability, use, reuse and preservation in public, public-private and private educational institutions, at the levels of Pre-School Education up to Secondary Education, under the republished Basic Law of the Education and Teaching System.<\/p>\n

The School Book Policy is to be applied to school books and other curricular materials produced for the grades linked to the Pre-School Education, Primary and Secondary Education of the General Education, Vocational Technical, Teacher Training and Adult Education Subsystems.<\/p>\n

The school manuals to be produced within the scope of this specific policy belong to the State and are mandatory for use in all public, public-private and private educational institutions that operate with the official curriculum of the Angolan State.<\/p>\n
