Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The provincial delegate of the Ministry of the Interior and provincial commander of the National Police in Cabinda, Commissioner Eus\u00e9bio Costa, died yesterday during a TAAG airline flight from Lisbon, Portugal.<\/b><\/p>\n

Commissioner Eus\u00e9bio Costa had traveled to Portugal for medical consultations. His death occurred inside a plane as he was returning to Luanda, according to a condolence note from the General Command of the National Police.<\/p>\n

The note only clarifies that the commissioner, who had a high patriotic and humanist sense, therefore, having been respected by everyone, especially his colleagues on duty, died of illness.<\/p>\n

Commissioner Eus\u00e9bio Domingos de Almeida e Costa, born in Benguela, joined the extinct FAPLA, in the First Military Political Region, at the “Mussenga” Military Instruction Center, in the infantry specialty.<\/p>\n

He distinguished himself in several military incursions, with emphasis on Operation Quissonde, Caf\u00e9, Restauro, having been evacuated to Luanda in 1977.<\/p>\n

He held several positions, including political head of the National Directorate of External Intelligence, Emigration and Border of Angola.<\/p>\n

He joined the National Police in the 1990s, where he held the positions of commander of the Inspection Unit of the Provincial Command of Luanda, police chief and commander in Malanje, director of the Serra Van-D\u00fanem Institute of Police and Criminal Sciences, head of the Disarmament Mission of the Civilian Population and representative of the Police in the Joint Commission on the Disarmament Process.<\/p>\n

Until the date of his death, Eus\u00e9bio Costa held the position of delegate and provincial commander of the Police in Cabinda.<\/p>\n

The commissioner had a degree in Social Sciences and History, a master’s degree in History, Criminology and Criminal Policy, and a postgraduate degree in Strategic Management of Confrontation.<\/p>\n
