Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angola will have, this year, a Center for Monitoring and Management of the Radioelectric Spectrum and of interference that may arise in different sectors, the minister of Telecommunications, Information Technology and Social Communication (MTTICS) said this Tuesday in Luanda. ), Manuel Homem.<\/b><\/p>\n

The minister, who was speaking during the opening of the Forum Tech Hub, added that the creation of the center could be highlighted in telecommunications operators, in civil and military aviation, maritime service, in the use of broadcasting frequencies, as well as in special services of communications assigned to Defense and Security Organs.<\/p>\n

Manuel Homem referred that the operationalization of the 4th unified global title allowed the entry of the operator Africell, as a result of the market liberalization strategy and improvement and diversification of telecommunication services.<\/p>\n

The executive, guaranteed, will continue to invest in structuring and inducing projects, such as the creation of the television broadcasting industry and market, within the framework of the Digital Migration Strategy, the national broadband infrastructure, based on submarine and terrestrial fiber optics, and national satellite transmission infrastructure, in the Angosat project.<\/p>\n

“We will continue to promote the sustainable development of public use telecommunications services and formulate guidelines that allow, in the medium and long term, to satisfy the basic needs of the population, companies and all other users, throughout the national territory”, highlighted.<\/p>\n

“The country has more than 17 million mobile phone subscribers, more than seven million Internet users and more than two million pay-TV subscribers”, stressed Manuel Homem.<\/p>\n

He informed that, as a result of public and private investments, Angola already stands out in the context of Sub-Saharan Africa, with a telecommunication infrastructure that is growing in terms of national coverage and quality capable of constituting a relevant support for the infrastructure. of the Digital Single Market, in line with the African Union’s Agenda 2063.<\/p>\n

Manuel Homem said that it is a permanent concern of the Government to ensure the existence of a legislative environment and telecommunications infrastructure, in general, and cybersecurity, in particular, that safeguard the correct observance of the
\nrequirements for the protection of public and private information and data systems.<\/p>\n

The minister called for the awareness of users, especially the youngest, of the dangers of misuse of technological and interactive tools of social networks, in order not to harm the interests of third parties, as well as the care to be taken to avoid falling into the condition of victim.<\/p>\n

The forum, held in reference to the International Telecommunications and Information Society Day, had as its motto: “Angola’s leadership for the digital transformation in Africa”, and was attended by representatives of several companies in the field of technologies and information.<\/p>\n
