Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Angolan ambassador to Rwanda, Eduardo Oct\u00e1vio, announced, Tuesday (17), in Luanda, that the country will receive, in the coming days, the first direct flight with the city of Kigali, capital of Rwanda, as a result of the agreement signed between the two countries in May 2018.<\/b><\/p>\n

Eduardo Oct\u00e1vio, who was speaking on the sidelines of the visit that Angolan ambassadors accredited abroad made to the Luanda – Bengo Special Economic Zone (ZEE), guaranteed that the Angolan Embassy in Rwanda is promoting the visit to the country of Rwandan businessmen, on the inaugural flight , with the aim of participating in the second Business Forum.<\/p>\n

The diplomat referred that another great advantage is the opportunity that Angolan businessmen will have, when making contact with their Rwandan counterparts, since their market offers space for business affirmation. Eduardo Oct\u00e1vio stressed that there are, in the national market, Rwandan companies exploring the Energy, Construction and Transport sectors.<\/p>\n

“In the coming months, companies interested in investing in rural energy distribution will arrive in the country, an important field to be explored, taking into account that Angola is carrying out a gradual process of electrification”, stressed the diplomat.<\/p>\n

He added that the visit to the ZEE is relevant, “because we became aware of a series of investments, which can contribute to the diversification of the economy, also resulting in the creation of more jobs”. Ambassador Eduardo Oct\u00e1vio considered that the capacity for entrepreneurship was necessary, as it allows the creation of more factories, “showing that there are conditions for investment”.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the Angolan ambassador to the United Kingdom, Geraldo Nunda, was pleased to have contact with the achievements being made in the scope of internal investment, mainly in the Industrial and Agricultural sectors. “The first steps are being taken here to become, more and more, an industrial country”, he said, having made it known that they will continue to work to bring investment to the country.<\/p>\n

The visit to the Luanda-Bengo Special Economic Zone was promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX), in partnership with AIPEX, as part of the engagement of diplomatic missions in attracting foreign investment, as well as in conquering new markets, through an increasingly active diplomacy, in line with the Executive’s strategy.<\/p>\n

The Luanda-Bengo Special Economic Zone (ZEE) comprises 21 flexible reserves, seven of which are industrial, six agricultural and eight mining areas, distributed among the municipalities of Viana, Cacuaco and Icolo e Bengo, in the province of Luanda, and in the municipalities of Dande and Ambriz, in the province of Bengo. At the moment, several enterprises are present in the ZEE.<\/p>\n
