Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The civic electoral campaign in the media will start in the first week of June, announced Wednesday (18), in Luanda, the commissioner and spokesman of the National Electoral Commission (CNE), during the National Media Conference to the 2022 Elections.<\/b><\/p>\n

Lucas Quilundo added that there is a need for journalists to exercise their profession with respect, ethics and deontology, within the limits established by legislation, informing that, at the moment, internal work is underway to create the conditions and prepare the mapping of polling stations and of the electoral roll.<\/p>\n

In turn, the Secretary of State for Social Communication, Nuno Caldas Albino, highlighted, in the opening speech of the Conference, that the Executive will create conditions for the coverage and dissemination of the electoral process in the national territory, with the mission of informing, educate and promote the participation of all citizens in this citizenship commitment.<\/p>\n

He stressed that the event is media-centric par excellence and requires careful preparation from the bodies, leading to positive, transparent, constructive coverage that enhances values \u200b\u200band credibility, considering it the “highest point of society’s political and democratic exercise”.<\/p>\n

“This seminar meets the challenges of Social Communication, as electoral processes require human capital capable of responding to the demand of concerns raised by voters and competing political parties”, he underlined.<\/p>\n

The conference addressed “the role of the Social Communication in the electoral process in the view of the National Electoral Commission”, “ethics and professional deontology in electoral coverage”.<\/p>\n
