Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The latest book by nationalist and writer Pedro Hendrick Vaal Neto, entitled \u201cDon\u2019t Forget Us\u201d, was launched on Monday in Benguela. The book portrays the period of the National Liberation Struggle and the memories of the researcher and former Minister of Social Communication.<\/b><\/p>\n

The book launch ceremony is part of the celebration of the 408th anniversary of the city of Benguela, to be celebrated next Saturday.<\/p>\n

The sale and autograph session took place in the 11 de Novembro Garden, adjacent to the Benguela Municipal Administration, and was attended by the provincial governor, Manuel Nunes Ju\u0301nior.<\/p>\n

The writer Pedro Hendrick Vaal Neto said that the book is a contribution to the history of the country\u2019s Armed Struggle for National Liberation.\u201cI wanted to use this book to inform Angolans in general, and young people in particular, about the Armed Struggle for National Liberation,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

The provincial governor of Benguela, Manuel Nunes Ju\u0301nior, said that it presents an account of the sacrifice, courage and determination of young people who, in the 1960s, left the comfort of urban life and embraced the cause for the liberation and independence of the Angolan people.<\/p>\n
