Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The formalization of the candidacies of political parties and coalitions for the August General Elections will be done by prior appointment, through a digital platform, to be announced in the coming days.<\/b><\/p>\n

The new measure was announced yesterday by the President of the Constitutional Court, Laurinda Cardoso, during the opening ceremony of the Data Processing Center, a structure dedicated to the reception, verification and validation of documents relating to the submission of candidacies to the General Elections.<\/p>\n

The Platform, he explained, will determine the day and time for the presentation of the candidacy process of each party and coalition, allowing the representatives of the political forces to have an exclusive moment with the Constitutional Court (between two to three hours), during which, the application submission process will be verified.<\/p>\n

Judge Laurinda Cardoso said that, soon, the Constitutional Court will make the access instruments public. With the Platform, he reinforced, it is intended to create greater comfort and avoid flooding in the spaces reserved for the processing of documents. “Receiving documents at the same time is not comfortable, so with this format, we will be better able to work for better results”.<\/p>\n

After the opening of the Centre, the head of the Constitutional Court assured that all conditions are in place to proceed with the reception of candidacies from all political associations that decide to contest the next elections.<\/p>\n

“We are open to the public, to provide support in whatever is necessary, including technical support or at the headquarters of the institutions”, he guaranteed. communication and approximation mechanisms, thus fulfilling the duty of informing and safeguarding the rights of all those involved in the process. Regarding the facilities that received considerable improvements and equipping, Laurinda Cardoso said that the improvement project aimed to be at the time of the general elections this year.
