Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The book on Angolan cultural anthropology, \u201cOs Bantu in the vision of Mafrano\u201d, was presented in Maputo, at the Headquarters of the Association of Mozambican Writers (AEMO), during the First International Conference on the Centenary of the Mozambican poet Jos\u00e9 Craveirinha, which took place at this institution, between the 24th and 26th of the current month.<\/b><\/p>\n

The presentation ceremony in Maputo was attended by writers, diplomats, publishers and cultural representatives. The presentation of the book was in charge of two granddaughters of the late writer Maur\u00edcio Francisco Caetano, who are in the Mozambican capital at the invitation of the Association of Writers of that Indian Ocean country.<\/p>\n

On the sidelines of the centenary celebrations of the poet Jos\u00e9 Craveirinha, a copy of the book was offered on Saturday to the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Mozambique, Eldevina Materula, during a ceremony held at the Casa Museu Jos\u00e9 Craveirinha, in Maputo.<\/p>\n

The ceremony was witnessed by the family of the prestigious Mozambican poet and writer, whose centenary was celebrated in Maputo from the 24th to the 26th of this month, on the initiative of the Association of Mozambican Writers (AEMO).<\/p>\n

On the occasion, Minister Eldevina Materula thanked the gesture that she considered “an eloquent proof of the necessary vitality in the cultural exchange between Angola and Mozambique”.<\/p>\n

The work “Os Bantu in Mafrano’s vision”, was launched in Luanda, posthumously, on the 14th of May, and was also presented to students of the Seminary of the province of Hu\u00edla, in Lubango, in the presence of the archbishop emeritus of the city, Archbishop Zacarias Kamuenho The Archbishop of Luanda, Archbishop Filomeno Vieira Dias do Nascimento, highlighted the content and importance of the work, stating that it “will help to understand the practices of the peoples of this region”.<\/p>\n

The book “Os Bantu na Vis\u00e3o de Mafrano” was edited by the author’s family from texts dispersed in the Catholic newspaper “O Apostolado”, between 1957 and 1982, and is part of a collection to be published in three volumes.<\/p>\n
