Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Basic food products in commercial establishments and informal markets in Luanda, from the third to the fourth week of this month, dropped 0.98 percent, with big bread, tomato, beef and rice contributing to these references.<\/b><\/p>\n

In commercial establishments, the price of basic food products registered a reduction of 1.83 percent and, in informal establishments, there was a slight increase of 0.06 percent.<\/p>\n

The products that contributed to the reduction of prices in commercial establishments were bread and tomato, with 6.36 percent each, beef (5.66%) and regular rice (3.41%).<\/p>\n

The biggest price changes were registered in products such as cornmeal (5.23%), beans (4.18%) and chicken thigh (2.58%) and were noticeable in the Intermarket supermarket chain, with 6, 46 percent, Africana Discount (2.25%) and Shoprite (2.22%). On the other hand, prices fell at Maxi, with 9.88 percent, Jumbo (7.77%) and Candando (5.57%).<\/p>\n

In informal markets, the prices of basic food products increased by 0.06 percent and the goods that most contributed to this rise are beef, with 7.95 percent, fuba de bomb\u00f3 (5.84%) and yellow cornmeal (3.25%).<\/p>\n

In the informal sector, the largest price changes in the period under analysis were registered in the Kikolo markets, with 5.45 percent, Kwanzas, with 2.57%, and Correios, with 0.59%. On the other hand, there was a price reduction in Congolese markets, with 4.09%, Katinton, with 1.75, and Kil\u00f3metro Trinta, with 1.55 percent.<\/p>\n
