Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The price change indicator for basic food products, from the fourth week of May to the first week of this month, saw a reduction of 0.40 percent, with products such as bomb\u00f3 and corn flour, fish horse mackerel, chicken thigh, beans and bar soap positively influencing the cost practiced in the main markets and supermarkets in Luanda.<\/b><\/p>\n

In commercial establishments, the price variation of basic basket products, in the period in question, registered a reduction of 0.32 percent. The products that contributed to this price reduction were bomb\u00f3 fuba, with 4.72 percent, horse mackerel, with 4.11 percent and chicken thigh, with 4.0 percent.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the largest price variation in the supermarket chain was seen with products such as soybean oil, with 2.25 percent, powdered milk, with 1.60 percent, and tomato, with 0.93 percent. . The largest changes in the period in question were recorded in the supermarket chain Maxi (9.87 percent), Candando (7.07%) and Fresmart (2.89%). On the other hand, there was a price reduction in the Intermarket commercial network (5.79%), Deskont\u00e3o (4.92%) and Shoprite (3.87 percent).<\/p>\n

Informal Markets<\/b><\/p>\n

In the informal markets, from the fourth week of May to the first week of June 2022, prices registered a reduction of 0.49 percent, having influenced for this the drop in the cost of cornmeal, with 9.55 percent, beans, with 5.92 percent, and bar soap, with 3.72 percent.<\/p>\n

The biggest price changes in the period were registered in the Correios markets, with 2.85 percent, and Kikolo, with 1.57 percent. However, there was a price reduction in Asa Branca, with 4.41 percent, and Kwanzas, with 2.23 percent.<\/p>\n
