{"id":95578,"date":"2025-12-17T17:46:09","date_gmt":"2025-12-17T17:46:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/brilhante-foundation-funds-project-to-modernize-health-services"},"modified":"2025-12-17T18:20:35","modified_gmt":"2025-12-17T18:20:35","slug":"brilhante-foundation-funds-project-to-modernize-health-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/brilhante-foundation-funds-project-to-modernize-health-services","title":{"rendered":"Brilhante Foundation Funds Project to Modernize Health Services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola. <\/strong><\/span><b>The Brilhante Foundation, the social wing of the diamond sub-sector, is funding the implementation of structuring solutions such as telemedicine in some hospitals in the province of Lunda-Norte, to upgrade health services and make it more accessible and sustainable.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The project, called \u201cSau\u0301de Brilhante\u201d (Brilliant Health in English), is a partnership between the Provincial Govt of Lunda-Norte, the Brilhante Foundation, and Teramed Sistemas de Sau\u0301de, S.A., and also foresees the creation of a referral and counter-referral ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>Presented to local authorities last weekend, the initiative aims to allow citizens residing in Lunda-Norte to schedule appointments at public hospitals in Luanda for specialties not available in the province, without the need for prior travel.<\/p>\n<p>On the occasion, the Director-General of the Foundation, Bruno dos Santos, said that techs will be used as a bridge to reduce inequalities and restore hope to populations that, for a long time, have had limited access to specialized health services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith telemedicine, digital scheduling, and the referral and counter-referral system, citizens gain more dignity, lower travel costs, and faster access to the right specialist,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that the institution intends, with the implementation of the project, which is already underway, to build a legacy of inclusion, innovation, and social responsibility, with solutions designed for the local reality.<\/p>\n<p>He reaffirmed that the institution will continue to invest in \u201cprojects that save lives, strengthen institutions, and bring essential services closer to communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He assured that the initiative is not limited to Lunda-Norte, and its implementation is also planned for the provinces of Lunda-Sul and Moxico next year.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the province has six equipped municipal hospitals in Cambulo, Capenda Camulemba, Cuango, Cuilo, Chitato, and Lucapa, five provincial-level hospitals, 80 health posts, and 13 medical centers, staffed by 115 doctors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Angola<\/span> Follow <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Africa-Press<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola.
