Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Rai\u0301zes Project (Roots Project), whose objective is to promote Angolan culture through local gastronomy, on Tuesday in the municipality of Cuvango, Hui\u0301la Province, held a cultural and gastronomic event in the village of Rei Tchiwako II.<\/b><\/p>\n

The initiative, which explores ancestral habits and customs, dedicates special attention to gastronomy, filming the preparation of traditional dishes using utensils such as clay pots, wood-fired campfires and local recipes, with the aim of strengthening cultural identity and promoting community-based tourism.<\/p>\n

During the presentation, the project coordinator, Fa\u0301bio Gomes, expressed his happiness with the receptiveness from the population, as well as from local authorities and emphasized that the project stems from the ambition to value national gastronomy and culture, combined with the promotion of tourism and support for communities.<\/p>\n

According to him, this is an idea that “belongs to the people” and gains greater dimension when it is welcomed by the communities, highlighting that each edition contributes to the development of the municipalities and provinces visited, as well as the country in general.<\/p>\n

The project is now in its sixth season and at this stage has the participation of the artist Sara Cuca, a “special guest” who reinforces the spirit of unity and sharing of African cultural roots.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the artist highlighted the choice of Hui\u0301la Province as a priority in this phase of the project, along with Huambo, praising the cultural richness of Cuvango.<\/p>\n

The Rai\u0301zes Project team was received by the administrator of Cuvango, Lui\u0301s Paulo Ndala, who welcomed the initiative and recognized the importance of the project in promoting culture, local identity, and cultural tourism in the municipality.<\/p>\n

The program, whose results are disseminated on social media, has already been filmed in several municipalities of Namibe and Hui\u0301la.<\/p>\n
