Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong> <\/span>Angola placed third in the women’s 5×5 category of the African Wheelchair Basketball Championship after defeating Morocco 36-21 on Thursday in Luanda.<\/b><\/p>\n

In their first international competition, the national team won the bronze medal and gained valuable experience.<\/p>\n

The tournament includes some of the top African teams in the category, including Algeria and South Africa, who will play in the championship game later today.<\/p>\n

In the men’s category, Angola obtained fifth place after defeating Egypt 46-43 on Thursday. At halftime, the opponent was leading 22-27.<\/p>\n

In the qualifying rounds, Kenya also defeated Liberia 72-13 and finished in seventh place.<\/p>\n

The final and third-place matches are yet to be played, with the fifth through ninth positions defined as follows:<\/p>\n

5th Angola<\/p>\n

6th Egypt<\/p>\n

7th Kenya<\/p>\n

8th Liberia<\/p>\n

9th DRC.<\/p>\n
