{"id":98633,"date":"2026-04-04T10:24:17","date_gmt":"2026-04-04T10:24:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/angola-produced-725613-tons-of-fish-in-2025"},"modified":"2026-04-04T10:24:17","modified_gmt":"2026-04-04T10:24:17","slug":"angola-produced-725613-tons-of-fish-in-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/angola-produced-725613-tons-of-fish-in-2025","title":{"rendered":"Angola Produced 725,613 Tons of Fish in 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"ap-article-header-tag\">           <strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola. <\/strong>         <\/span><b>Angola produced 725,613 tons of diverse fish in 2025, which represented an increase of 9.2% compared to 2024, the Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources, Carmen do Sacramento Neto, reported, in Kinshasa.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>When presenting the data, during the panel on Fisheries and Blue Economy, at the 3rd Angola-DRC Economic Forum, which closed Thursday, in the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), she said that, in 2024, production stood at 664, 491 tons.<\/p>\n<p>She added that the performance of the 2025 targets had a global execution of 104.5%, with the aquaculture sector obtaining 35 thousand 87 tons, or five times greater than the target), while industrial and semi-industrial fishing reached 411 thousand 150 tons (+9.9%) and artisanal maritime fishing 253 thousand 109 (+3.4%).<\/p>\n<p>She mentioned that the exceptional growth of aquaculture, which went from 22,047 tons, in 2024, to 35,087, in 2025, confirms the success of the promotion policies in this sector, including extractive fishing which remains as a pillar, representing around 95% of Angola&#8217;s global production.<\/p>\n<p>The 3rd Angola-DRC Economic Forum began on Wednesday, in Kinshasa, under the motto \u201cSub-Regional Integration and Development of Cross-Border Trade\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>With the high sponsorship of Presidents Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o and Fe\u0301lix Tshisekedi Tshilombo, this edition assumes special relevance in the current context of strengthening bilateral cooperation, given the economic potential of border areas and the need to improve logistics and the business environment.<\/p>\n<p>The Forum also aims to consolidate the position of Angola and DRC as connecting hubs between Southern Africa and Central Africa, encouraging private investment and the establishment of sustainable partnerships.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ap-article-footer-note\">           Find more news and analyses on           <span class=\"ap-highlight-country\">Angola<\/span>           on the           <span class=\"ap-highlight-brand\">Africa Press<\/span>           website         <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola.
