According to the research, &#8220;they are not just numbers; they are mothers, fathers, workers, and family pillars who, in an instant, cease to be so.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The province of Hui\u0301la registers a high average of strokes, with nearly 18 cases reported weekly at Lubango Central Hospital, establishing the disease as one of the leading causes of death and hospitalization at the tertiary-level facility.<\/p>\n<p>Luciana Guimara\u0303es, the former director of Hui\u0301la&#8217;s health office (2018\u20132024), pointed out that a dominant pattern emerges behind these cases: high blood pressure. It is at these points that the possibility of avoiding a stroke is gained or lost.<\/p>\n<p>She emphasized the need for referral centers with the capacity for quick diagnosis and an organized response within the first few hours.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Angola has a window of opportunity, but it won&#8217;t stay open forever.
