Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Some 250 million kwanzas were raised during the 26th edition of the \u201cSea Festival \u201c, which took place from March 26th to the 4th of this month, in the city of Moc\u0327a\u0302medes, Namibe province.<\/b><\/p>\n

The event, promoted by the Municipal Administration of Moc\u0327a\u0302medes, had numerous attractive activities, such as a seal pool, food and drink area, sale of handicrafts, commerce and several other attractions such as business exhibition stands from several local companies.<\/p>\n

Held under the motto “Living culture and protecting the environment for sustainable tourism”, the festival ended with fireworks and a show open to the public entertained by several musicians from the Angolan square, such as Fa\u0301bio Hustler, Johny Berry, DJ Levi and the band Odisseia.<\/p>\n

According to the municipal administrator of Moc\u0327a\u0302medes, Abelardo Lemba, in relation to the 2026 edition, there was an increase of 50 million kwanzas and 205 exhibitors from the provinces of Benguela, Ui\u0301ge, Hui\u0301la, Huambo and Luanda.<\/p>\n

“This edition had a significant increase compared to previous editions, but it also made it possible to present a different version of the parties, allowing other exhibitors to present their brands and businesses in a different way and with a perspective of greater attraction for all those who visited the exhibitions”, he said.<\/p>\n

The manager praised the performance of the National Police in reducing crime in the festival area and positively evaluated the participation of other municipalities in the province of Namibe, such as Cacimbas, Lucira, Iona and Saco-mar, during the exhibition period.<\/p>\n

In turn, the provincial deputy governor for the Political, Social and Economic Sector, Abel Kapitango, said that the Festas do Mar continue to be the best business exchange in the province, followed by the Cattle Fair.<\/p>\n

“In this edition we had a considerable stock exchange, similar to the livestock fair, and we believe that we are going well, as Festas do Mar continues to be the best business exchange in Nami\u0301be and we can see that, in this edition, it housed several products on display”, he said.<\/p>\n

The official congratulated the organization and recognized the role of the population in participating in the festivities throughout the period of the 26th edition.<\/p>\n

Exhibitors expressed dissatisfaction with the increase in registration prices and asked for greater care with hygiene at the fair site in future editions.<\/p>\n

The Sea Festival is an event that takes place every year in the province of Nami\u0301be and takes place from March 7th to April 4th.<\/p>\n
