Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span> A cooperation agreement, which aims to modernize external control systems and institutional development, was initialed on Friday, in Luanda, between the Court of Auditors of Angola and that of the State of Amazonas in Brazil.<\/b><\/p>\n

The agreement, formalized at the end of the Scientific Conferences celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Angolan Court of Auditors, also aims to develop programs for exchanging experiences and information, especially on environmental audits.<\/p>\n

Using this instrument, the two parties undertake to create and implement the School of Accounts of the Angolan Court of Auditors and develop a training program in areas of mutual interest.<\/p>\n

The president of the Court of Auditors of Angola, Sebastia\u0303o Ngunza, and the coordinator of the School of Accounts of the Court of Auditors of the State of Amazonas, Ju\u0301lio Pinheiro, were signatories.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, Sebastia\u0303o Nganza summarized that the agreement is part of the organization’s internationalization strategy, with a view to adjusting it to current challenges.<\/p>\n

The 3-day Scientific Conferences brought together 600 participants, including national and foreign experts, with emphasis on those from Brazil, Portugal, Mozambique and Sa\u0303o Tome\u0301 and Pri\u0301ncipe, as well as representatives from Senegal, South Africa and Morocco.<\/p>\n

Under the motto \u201c30 Years of Financial Justice: Modernization, Integrity and Cooperation\u201d, the event served as a space for strategic reflection and knowledge sharing between judges, academics, specialists and higher control institutions, in a context in which the challenges of public financial oversight take on an increasingly global and interdependent dimension.<\/p>\n

Topics such as \u201cFinancial Autonomy of the External Inspection Bodies of Public Finances\u201d, \u201cJurisdictional Control of Public Policies\u201d, \u201cConsensus within the Courts of Auditors\u201d and the \u201cExperience of the Court of Auditors of Senegal in External Jurisdictional Control\u201d were discussed.<\/p>\n

The \u201cImportance of International Cooperation for the Improvement of Audit Courts\u201d, \u201cFiscal Sustainability and Intergenerational Responsibility in the Management of Public Resources\u201d and \u201cPublic Governance\u201d were also among the topics discussed.<\/p>\n

The event was also marked with the launch of the 3rd edition of the “Fluxos da Corte” Magazine, four editions of the Jurisprudence Collection and the 4th edition of the Scientific Magazine.<\/p>\n
