Such conduct must be severely punished, and the preventive aspect of the crime must be ensured,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>She said that violence against children, especially sexual violence, is so disastrous that it leaves victims and their families shattered, sometimes with irreversible sequel and traumas that compromise their development and social reintegration.<\/p>\n<p>Ana Lourenc\u0327o spoke of the need to end the feeling of impunity within the framework of the law and said that the most severe precautionary measures should always prevail in cases under judicial investigation, especially when there is strong evidence proving the crime has been committed, thus preventing the continuation of criminal practices.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;This measure should prevail over more severe measures in order to protect victims and prevent risks to their integrity and life,&#8217; she said.<\/p>\n<p>She urged legal institutions to promote social training focused on child protection in partnership with organizations such as the National Institute for Children (INAC) and the United Nations Children&#8217;s Fund (UNICEF).<\/p>\n<p>The First Lady said that the measure aims to draw greater attention to cases involving children, as well as to promote firm and effective procedural solidarity to ensure that all perpetrators are brought to justice.<\/p>\n<p>The event, organized by the Superior Council of the Judiciary in partnership with UNICEF, aims to strengthen the technical skills of professionals in the justice system.
