Africa-Press – Benin. <\/strong><\/span>A c\u00f4t\u00e9 du coronavirus, le monde fait face depuis un temps \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9volution de la variole de singe encore appel\u00e9e le monkeypox. Dans une dynamique d\u2019anticipation, le minist\u00e8re de la sant\u00e9 a mis en alerte maximale le syst\u00e8me de surveillance au plan national.<\/p>\n

Le B\u00e9nin n\u2019est pas \u00e0 l\u2019abris de l\u2019\u00e9volution de la variole de singe encore appel\u00e9e le monkeypox qui s\u00e9vit \u00e0 travers le monde. Dans une correspondance en date du jeudi 2 juin 2022 adress\u00e9e \u00e0 tous les directeurs d\u00e9partementaux de la sant\u00e9, le directeur de cabinet du ministre de la sant\u00e9, a mis en alerte maximale tous les centres de sant\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Dans ladite correspondance, les autorit\u00e9s en charges de la sant\u00e9 publique invitent les agents de sant\u00e9 \u00e0 tous les niveaux \u00e0 proc\u00e9der au renforcement de la surveillance \u00e9pid\u00e9miologique et \u00e0 notifier imm\u00e9diatement tous cas suspects conform\u00e9ment aux d\u00e9finitions de cas.<\/p>\n

Le minist\u00e8re de la sant\u00e9 du B\u00e9nin accorde du prix \u00e0 l\u2019observance stricte de la pr\u00e9sente prescription et exhorte les directeurs d\u00e9partementaux de la sant\u00e9 au respect des pr\u00e9sentes prescriptions auxquelles il attachera du prix.<\/p>\n

Pr\u00e9cisons que la variole du singe est une maladie infectieuse \u00e9mergente. cette maladie est caus\u00e9e par un virus transmis par des animaux infect\u00e9s, le plus souvent par des rongeurs.<\/p>\n

La variole du singe une fois transmise \u00e0 l\u2019homme par un rongeur, peut ensuite se propager d\u2019une personne \u00e0 l\u2019autre. De mani\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, le taux de l\u00e9talit\u00e9 dans les \u00e9pid\u00e9mies de variole du singe est de 1 \u00e0 10 %, mais avec des soins appropri\u00e9s, la plupart des patients se r\u00e9tablissent.<\/p>\n
