Africa-Press – Botswana. Gambian boxer Badou Jack, 38, achieved his 25th victory by defeating American Richard Rivera in a controversial fight yesterday.
In this 31st fight, many observers gave the victory to the American colossus, especially after the eighth round that lasted just four minutes instead of three, which raised several questions.
Badou Jack was declared the winner with 96 points to his opponent’s 94, but stated that he fully deserves this victory.
“I think I did enough, Rivera had a goofy, ugly style so I fell in love with his game,” he said after the match, adding that “I have the experience, it wasn’t my best night, but I did my job.”
