Ongoing service delivery protests in Lehurutshe near Zeerust in North West, have disrupted the opening of schools in the area. Learners were left stranded after schools remained closed due to protests over the provision of water. This is despite interventions by the provincial government in November after protesters blocked the N4 highway linking South Africa and Botswana.
