Africa-Press – Botswana. First Lady Neo Masisi has implored women in churches to take lead in the fight against gender based violence and other social ills.
She made the call when officially opening the 43rd UCCSA women fellowship in Maun on Friday.
She said many people were facing challenges such as as drug abuse, alcoholism, GBV, rape, murder and human trafficking.

The theme: Women of Prayer Go and Tell, she said, challenged women in prayer to speak out and gather as one to pray.
Women, Ms Masisi said, had been instrumental in the find against struggles such as apartheid. “When women gathered to pray, God was there and he helped them to overcome,” First Lady said.
She said UCCSA had been in existence for many years , therefore, it was instrumental in giving guidance to the leadership of the country.
Ms Masisi said women in prayer were capable and anointed to fight the good fight.
