KWAPE TO ATTEND MINISTERIAL EXCHANGE SESSION IN SINGAPORE

Africa-Press – Botswana. Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Lemogang Kwape will attend the 4th Singapore-Sub-Saharan Africa high-level ministerial exchange session to be held from Tuesday to Thursday in Singapore.

A press statement from the ministry says the ministerial exchange session will be hosted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore.

It states that the engagement will be held under the theme: Singapore and Africa: Partners in Digitalisation and Sustainability.

The release says while in Singapore, Dr Kwape will have the opportunity to interact with officials at the Singapore Civil Service College and further explore ways Botswana and Singapore can enhance cooperation on human resource development.

The college is said to be a key partner of the Botswana Public Service College.

The release further reveals that over 100 Batswana have been trained by the Civil Service College of Singapore in areas such as financial management, leadership and cyber security.

“Botswana and Singapore also have regular exchange visits aimed at strengthening governance and capacity of institutions as well as cooperation in the areas of trade and investment,” reads the release.

Dr Kwape will also commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Botswana and Singapore.
