Africa-Press – Botswana. The new Specially Elected Member of Parliament (SEMP), Ms Boitumelo Gofhamodimo has been sworn in.
She was elected on Wednesday and took an oath of allegiance Thursday afternoon. Ms Gofhamodimo was the sole nominee for the vacant position of SEMP, which was left by the then Minister of Environment and Tourism, Ms Philda Kereng, now Botswana’s Ambassador to Nigeria.
An economist by profession, Ms Gofhamodimo has a Master of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Botswana, Post Graduate Diploma in Economics from Melbourne University as well as Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Accounting from University of Botswana.
