Africa-Press – Botswana. President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi arriving in Nairobi, Kenya to participate in the sixth United Nations Environment Assembly was held.
Held at the United Nations Environment Progamme (UNEP) headquarters in Nairobi, UNEA-6 sets the global environmental agenda, provides overarching policy guidance,and definies policy responses to address emerging environmental challenges.
The Assembly will be held under the theme; Effective Inclusive and Sustainable Multilateral Actions to Tackle Climate Change, Biodiversity Loss and Pollution, and will bring Heads of State, government ministers, business leaders and environmental activists from around the world.
President Masisi will today (February 29) deliver Botswana’s statement at the High-Level Segment, where he is expected to highlight ways in which Botswana addresses environmental challenges and contributes towards international environmental governance.
